Summertime Drive
Driving around my old town
I see it all became a desert
Glad to feel the summer’s breeze
Hitting my face
And no mosquitos on the windshield
No one’s around anymore
No sun around anymore
No one to talk to anymore
About those shitty times
And if the town is no more
And if the summer is no more
I must confess that I’m not feeling better myself
Driving around my new city
I see it all became a casino
Sad to smell the roasted chicken
All over the air
And lots of people behind the windshield
No one’s around anymore
No rain around anymore
No one to share anymore
Those moments with no purpose
And if the city is no more
And if the winter is no more
I must confess to my girl that I’m not feeling any better
